Fajr Filmfest top movie winner ‘Midday Adventures' by Iran director Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian is set to screen at Istanbul International Crime And Punishment Film Festival in Turkey.
The Iranian film will hit the screen at 7th edition of the cinematic event held November 3-9, 2017 in Istanbul, Turkey.
‘Midday Adventures’, a political drama that portrays the terrorist atrocity of the Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) in Iran during the 1980s, crowned best at the 35th Fajr Film Festival.
“Being stranded and puzzled in volatile Tehran neighborhoods, in the winding streets, alleyways and inside homes; is there an end in sight to such hunt?” the film’s synopsis read.
‘Midday Adventures’ also bagged 4 other Simorgh awards -- namely, the Audience Choice, Best Scenic Designer, Best Costume Designer and Best Film with National View.
The movie features Mehrdad Seddiqian, Ahmad Mehranfar, Hadi Hejazifar, Mehdi Zaminpardaz, Mahya Dehqani, Linda Kiani, Hossein Mehri, and Javad Ezzati.
Mahdavian’s previous movie ‘Standing in the Dust’ received a Crystal Simorgh for Best Film from the 34th edition of the Fajr Film Festival in 2016.
